Ceremonial Grade is our highest quality matcha, made from the youngest tea leaves. It has a smooth, delicate, and naturally sweet flavour, perfect for drinking on its own with just water. Culinary Grade is made from slightly older leaves, giving it a more robust, stronger flavour that's designed to stand out in lattes, smoothies, and baked goods.
A typical serving of matcha (1-2 tsp) contains about 35-70mg of caffeine. This is less than a standard cup of coffee (95mg). However, thanks to the amino acid L-Theanine in matcha, the caffeine is released slowly, providing sustained energy for hours without the crash or jitters associated with coffee.
To preserve its freshness, vibrant colour, and delicate flavour, you should store your matcha in an airtight container in a cool, dark, and dry place. The refrigerator is an excellent option. Once opened, we recommend consuming your matcha within 2-3 months for the best taste experience.
